the next challenge

puppet for Pops and Gangang's 60th anniversary party in May!
Puppets can be made out of anything (except for another puppet) and as of now have no size limits.
The challenge, when we all meet, is to put on a show with the puppets we have.

I suggest the puppets should be "green" (compostable) or made out of recycled material. Do people think this is a good restriction?

What about found materials? Only stuff you can find in your house.

Actually, I like the idea of an unrestricted contest.

i don't really think we should restrict materials because we just did that.
maybe we should have a theme instead. or a specific play/story to preform.

That's a good idea.

my dad and i were thinking it would be better to have a story...or we were also thinking everyone could make a family member.
i guess first though we need an idea of who will participate. maybe more guys will get involved since it isn't fashion oriented...

I was at a big puppet workshop once and it really did work out to make the puppets first then evolve the story. After all, "it's our movie". One thing that adds a lot is musical instruments (especially ethnic ones) for the show.
By the way, the puppet workshop included some puppets over 10 feet tall!
